Relevant, General and Specialized Experience:                                                                            I have over 20 years of experience in the telecomm and low voltage field, from planning, installation, testing, maintenance and quality control.  I received my BICSI RCDD in 2010. I only had one project come in late in my long career due to unforeseen circumstances, but never had one be completed over budget.  My QA/QC expectations of my men and other contractors under me are very high, esthetics are essential to me.  I have always been assigned the larger, more high profile projects, with each employer. Due to the fact that my bosses knew it would be completed following the required specs and all EIA/TIA and IEEE standards.  I am extremely well versed in all low voltage areas; VOIP, fiber and all types of Copper.  My background is also in intercom, CCTV, CATV, wireless, access control, A/V and some fire alarm.  I have been designing telecommunications rooms; ER’s and cable paths for well over 15 years.  Being a supervisor for around 20 years which duties include being responsible for purchasing, quality assurance, quality conformance, and scheduling. I had a DOD secret clearance while at Mac Dill AFB and after my time there, received full clearance while at the ATL International Airport.  I have been using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, for some time now and am efficient with these programs.  I am also familiar with Revit and Visio.  I am now very familiar with Blue Beam from extensive usage at my last job with Cleveland Electric.

Cleveland Electric Group; April 2014- November 2015; Lead Superintendent/ QCO/ PMA

I was one of the Lead Superintendents at Baxalta.  Baxalta is a multi-million dollar industrial construction site in Covington, GA.  My portion alone was around $5 million.  My duties included: scheduling, purchasing, QA/QC and writing all the RFI’s.  I attended a multitude of meetings with the owners, GC and other contractors.  This project is now finished and was well under budget and ahead of schedule.  I used Blue Beam extensively for all engineering aspects including the extensive amount of RFI’s written for the project.  This assignment involved around 40,000 strands of OM3 and SM fiber, cat6 for VOIP and security, cat6A for the WIFI network.

City of Atlanta, Atlanta international Airport; July 2012- April 2014; Senior Cable Infrastructure Engineer

I oversaw the new Inbound Roadway Project and concourse C midpoint expansion project for the DIT team.  These were both multi-million dollar projects.  One of the redundant paths for the OSP existing fiber ring was being ripped out and new duct banks and new OSP fiber were being installed. I was involved in pre-construction meetings, approving submittals, and answering RFI’s.  I went to all the weekly GC meetings and oversaw all the low voltage QA/QC for the City of Atlanta’s Airport.

I was a dedicated stakeholder in the new WIFI project at the Airport.  I designed and built a BOM for this project which was $1.8 million in cable and infrastructure, including new cable tray, conduit and CAT 6 cable throughout the airport. Myself and my team were involved in writing the technical specs and schedule. Once this went out for bid, I was a member of the Evaluation committee, involved in the bid acceptance process.  I was the quality control officer for multiple, multi-million dollar projects while at the airport. Some of these jobs included: the DAS project, WIFI, new Bosch security system and the New international wing.

I was involved in all meetings which all of the large cell phone carriers are in.  This will be the largest indoor DAS system in the world when complete.  All these larger projects while involved in around 15 other small ones are all going on.  I obtained some Visio experience here also.

SAIC; July 2011- January 2012; Infrastructure Engineer/QC

I over saw the telecommunications installations at the new Centcom building at MacDill AFB.  This was a zone cabling and fiber to desk top job. Under SPAWAR we were in charge of all new installation and all new MAC’s closer to completion of the project.  I also oversaw all of the QC of the other contractor along with my people on site. The project was all zone cabling and fiber to desk top, with Cisco switches and servers, which we did all connections.  This also included BAS and security.

We also were in Jordan doing work for their new SOCOM building, doing a 30 ft. video wall on a curved surface, along with other A/V work.  I was also learning more of the A/V side at the Tampa office with new labs and video walls being installed at the home office.   I was released due to the fact that my clearance was taking too long and never received it.

VT Milcom; March 2011- July 2011; Voice and Data Office Manager

I was hired as the office manager in charge of all aspects of the voice and data, or low voltage side of the office. I was sent into the field when I started, our agreement was not upheld by management.  I received a call from a friend who was working with SAIC and I was brought over to their company not long after.

WFI; October 2010 – December 2010; Engineer/Supervisor

I was a Sub-Contractor through General Dynamics for ATT. We installed and tested T-1’s for ATT wireless systems at cell sites. I learned to be proficient with t-bird testers, microwave and DSX (wire wrap).  I was involved in the maintenance of the numerous cell sites all over the mid-west.

A-Tech; June 2009- October 2010; Site Supervisor/ PM/QA/QC

I was in charge of overseeing the installation process, including all ISP and OSP. Confirming the testing and administration was done properly and that the job adhered to all EIA/TIA standards at K-12 Pinellas county schools.  I also had to redesign some of the IC’s and MC’s, while submitting change orders to gain the proper approval.

MCS Inc.; November 2007 – August 2008; Site Supervisor/ PM /QA/QC

I managed personnel involved in installation of telecommunications systems. Duties included blueprint reading and interpretation to low level personnel, layout, sequence and quality control for proper installation of products. I was also ordering material, overseeing all testing and labeling.

Tri City Electric; April 2007 – November 2007; Project Manager/QCO

I supervised employees in the installation of low voltage VOIP systems, A/V and outdoor security cameras at several projects throughout Florida. I was ordering materials and overseeing multiple crews at numerous different projects.  We also installed our own conduit and cable tray at some of these projects where I was in charge of all of my crew’s quality assurance, from the cable install, to the conduit and cable tray portion.

QTSI Inc.; Tampa, FL February 2001 –April 2007; Lead Tech to Lead Superintendent and QA/QC Manager

One of my many assignments was at Centcom for around six years. During which I obtained a DOD government clearance and was responsible for many large, high profile contracts including Bright House, Bechtel, Brevard County and a very large project for SAIC’s new office.  All of these jobs were done under budget, in a timely manner, while adhering to all BICSI EIA/TIA standards. Performed cat3- cat6, fiber, CCTV terminations, sound (indoors and out), security and wireless.  I had designed small IC’s all the way to large ER’s, including installing and cabling Cisco switches, routers and servers. We also worked with all different types of cable tray and conduit, inside and outside plant.  I was in charge of making sure all conduit and cable tray was installed correctly.  Trouble shooting, repairing, quality control and maintenance were daily requirements. I developed a quality control plan and oversaw that all work conformed to my plan.  I dealt with labor management processes, providing additional cost savings to the corporation. In addition, I assisted on project quotations, BOM’s and engineering; while running numerous jobs at the same time.

Knight Enterprises, St. Petersburg, FL; June 2001- December 2001; Sub-Contractor                                        I was a subcontractor for Bright House where we installed, maintained and tested all cable. This job was all residential; Arial, buried, splitters, amps, Splicing and other projects.  Connecting and troubleshooting DSLs, routers and modems.

Southern Sound; Tampa, FL; 1999-2001; Site Supervisor/QCO

My responsibilities were designing, building out and terminating communications rooms, predominantly VOIP projects at new K-12 schools. I was also running projects at the same time.  We also spliced cat-3 mechanically and fiber optics, single and mm, inside and outside.  I made sure all cabling was aesthetically pleasing while all work conformed to BICSI and standards.

Telecommunication Systems, Tampa, FL; 1997-1999; Lead Tech                                                                          I first learned how to fusion splice fiber optics and mechanically splice copper, all the way through super binders.  At this time I was in charge of a small 4 man crew. I was in charge of the city of St. Petersburg contract, we did everything from simple troubleshoot and repair to new construction.  Troubleshooting phone lines on the city docks, which was exceptionally difficult dealing with salt water. It was a great learning experience that I always conquered.  Engineering and installing cat3- cat 6, fiber and T-1’s.  I have tested from Verizon’s RJ31x to the POTS, then out to each boat slip.  Usually to fix, we had to splice outside in the POT or in a junction box under the dock.

Nortel, Kodak Park, Rochester N.Y.; 1995-1996; Tech

I was on the “ACE “termination team where we did all terminations.  This was my first learning experience with hands-on splicing cat3 cable. I learned to program phones and install cross connects at the main frame and/or CO.  Was involved in my first large phone cut over.

Vrooman Communications; Rochester, N.Y.; 1992- 1995; Tech

This was my father’s company where I learned the basics in installing, terminating and testing telecommunications wires.
